I'm famous!

My latest video was mentioned on Bikerumor.com yesterday!

You can watch it here:

As I wrote in my previous post I was out for a ride on a snowmobile trail with Jens Westergren (representing Sweden in the cyclocross world championships 2011 and ex. swedish champion in MTB XCO, MTB Marathon and Cyclocross and overall winner of the MTB marathon series), Fredrik Ericsson (captain of the national MTB-team, former swedish time trial champion, 2:nd place at the swedish road race championships and former overall winner of the national MTB Marathon series) and Jonas Djurback (multiple swedish triathlon champion, 20:th at the 2010 triathlon world championships half ironman distance and fourth at the 2010 triathlon world championships long distance). I had my GoPro on my helmet and made this video with the filmed material from that day. 10 cm of fresh snow, +1 degree and a light rain made the ride a bit slow...

Snowmobile trail and icy roads

Studded vs. normal tires on Swedish roads...

This sunday I was out with three of my friends for a ride on some snowmobile trails. It was a bit to warm and fresh snow made it tough. But we where tougher!

Really nice and hard ride. Need more of those! The last two days I have been getting up at 5:30 a.m. just to get some training done on the Monark before work. Feeling a bit to tired today so I will skip that tomorrow and maybe go for some skiing in the evening.

300 W

I really want to complete a hour on 300 W this winter, that would be great for my confidence and I would then know that I'm about as strong as I was a couple of years ago when I was at my best. Yesterday I made an attempt for the hour but had to stop after 22 minutes and 13 seconds. To make that 300W/1h I think I have to get about 3-4% stronger. Which is doable, but not easy.
This weekend I was out skiing a couple of times. Feeling is okay, the technique is okay but the power in my upper body needs to improve in order to get faster on the skis. My five hour goal for the 90 km long Vasaloppet might just be to hard this year, but that gives me the motivation to improve. So I will try my best until I cross that finish line in Mora.
This saturday I was out with my son to watch a winter enduro race here in Falun. Looked like a lot of fun.

Getting back to life

Man, that Rapha Festive 500 was tough! I didn't sleep enough and was out for several hours in cold weather. So it was no big surprise that I caught a cold. Or maybe it was just my throat that got strained from all the cold air... Four days of rest seems to have done the work tough, so tonight I will do some training again. Thinking about cross country skiing. But I'm also considering a session on the Monark to see if I have gotten any stronger by all those hours in the saddle. But these four rest days have not been good for me, so I am probably no stronger anyway... I need to ski in order to get fast for the Vasaloppet, so that is probably what I will be doing after the kids fall a sleep tonight.
And also; I want to extend my blog list, do you have any recommendations? I want cycling inspiration.
